January 29, 2023August 25, 2023 Luxury Hotels – Atlantis, The Palm I couldn’t not do a whole post on one of my favourite hotels in the whole world, there is far too much to squeeze into one paragraph. Atlantis is located right at the end of the Palm, the perfect location for a hotel of this beauty. To get there by car there’s an underwater tunnel or you can take the above ground monorail with the most magnificent view of the palm and of Atlantis. The view of Atlantis from the monorail Entrance hall to the Atlantis Being on the outside of the Palm, the Atlantis does require driving to get to most main tourist spots. It’s around a half an hour drive to the centre, where the Burj Khalifa is located and is a little bit less to get to the Marina. However the hotel itself is surrounded by plenty to do if you prefer to stay local. There’s beautiful beaches to walk or relax on, the infamous water park (we’ll get to that), and surrounding luxury hotels to nose around, such as the Brand New Atlantis: The Royal right next door. One of the most famous parts of the Atlantis is the 11 million Litre aquarium that holds 65,000 marine creatures including 100 sharks and Sting rays. But what makes this hotel aquarium so unique is not just the size, it’s what it offers; There’s an underwater restaurant, underwater suites, snorkelling opportunities as well as getting up close to feed the sharks and sting rays. No matter how many times you pass ‘The Lost Chambers Aquarium’ on your stay, it never gets old! Moving on to my favourite part of Atlantis, the Aquaventure Waterpark. This isn’t an ordinary warer park, it’s got over 105 slides. Each slide is different, some with rubber rings, some sit up to 6 people, some whiz you through the aquarium and others are only for the brave! Running through the Waterpark is a lazy river, you can sit back and relax on single or double rings (for a few minutes) and then have some crazy rapids to wake you up. It’s a great way to cool off as well as having a good laugh too! There are cameramen all around the lazy river ready to take a few snaps of you and your group that you can collect at the end of your day for the best memories. Now for the foodies, the Atlantis is full of restaurants of every culture and every budget so that you can adjust to your taste (literally). Some of my favourites include ‘Hakkasan’ – A traditional cantonese style restaurant, ‘Gordan Ramseys Street Bread Kitchen’ – A classic british restaurant, ‘Ossiano’ – The underwater Seafood restaurant with a Michelin star and ‘Seafire Steakhouse’ – A Meat and New York Based Restaurant. All of the above plus many more make up the incredible collection of Signature restaurants with lots more casual restaurants and café’s too. Last but not least, there is a wide range of room/suite types to give you a broad choice of budget. The top suite being the Grand Atlantis suite, stayed in by Kim Kardashian herself, which is the true height of luxury! We’ve had the chance of staying in the Presidential suite, Terrace suite and Regal Suite, all of which give you access to the imperial lounge and again make for a truly luxurious stay. There are more suites on offer including the underwater suite and then King rooms or Queen rooms. There’s also a choice of Palm or Ocean view as every room has a spectacular view of different sides of Dubai. All Posts Luxury
